Hold that pose! and leave the rest to the Holod3ck team !
In 1/4 of a second, our scanning system would have taken all the raw photograph data we need to create your 3D model.
We will process the scan immediately. Create your user account to access you 3D scan and email upi basic 3D preview of your model
Once a 3D Print is ordered, 3D model are sent to our artist for cleanup and final touch up before 3D printing using the materials & options you picked.
There are 4 popular types of 3D body scanning technologies in the market today.
● DSLR Photogrammetry 3D Scanners
● Handheld 3D Scanners
● Turntable-based Full Body 3D
● Hybrid Full Body 3D Scanners
A DSLR full body 3D scanner relies on photogrammetry to create a 3D scan.
Photogrammetry works by finding shared features between multiple
photographs to calculate depth.
The cameras have a special peripheral attachment that can synchronize the captures so all cameras fire at the same time.
Handheld 3D scanners used in 3D photography typically rely on structured light to calculate the geometry of the subject being 3D scanned.
3D scanning someone with a handheld 3D scanner works by having the person stand still as you slowly move the 3D scanner around them to capture the different parts of their body.
Turntable-based 3D body scanners rely on the same technology as handheld
3D scanners (structured light) created to eliminate the need for a human being to walk around and scan people with a handheld 3D scanner. The subject steps onto a platform and holds still while the platform rotates and a mounted 3D sensor moves up and down until the entire person completes
their 3D body scan.
At Holod3ck we found that the best scanners is one that combines the best of all three technologies. Holod3ck's 3D Capture Technology is a hybrid portable scanning system that uses both photogrammetry and structured light methods to create a full highly textured 3D scan.
Using portable integration of cameras and lights mounted in an array around the subject being scanned, the system can digitally capture high quality 360 degree scans.
In addition to cameras and lights, there are also projectors that project a pattern on the person being scanned, which helps the photogrammetry software to reconstruct high quality geometries everywhere including flat colored materials.
After many months of testing, we're finally ready to start offering a brand new full-color 3D printing option using the very latest technology in the industry using Full-color resin 3D prints by firing resin out of inkjet print heads and then curing it with a special UV light.
More freedom in how to pose- With parts being stronger, 3D prints are much less likely to break during the 3D printing process allowing much more expressive pose.
Longer lasting products- Resistant to humidity. Also, being stronger not only means more freedom in how to pose but also means the print is less likely to be damaged if accidentally drops it.
Smaller sizes- Full-color resin 3D printing also means being able to 3D print at much smaller sizes while still retaining detail. This makes offering 1-inch and 2-inch 3D printed figurines a possibility: opening up brand new use cases for the product
The surface of the print has a shiny finish
“Build lines” will still be visible, but not as pronounced as on sandstone (smaller layer height in the 3D printing process, so thinner layers in the final product).
Larger prints will show more detail, just like with sandstone.
Prints are solid and do not have hollowed insides/feet
Significantly improved durability vs. Sandstone 3D products
Significantly improved color accuracy vs. Sandstone 3D products
Improved color detail vs. Sandstone 3D Products (at comparable size)
Water-resistant without a coating
Reduced reprint rate (more reliable manufacturing timeline)
